Brad Goodwin testifies before the Virginia Senate Labor and Commerce Committee in support of injured workers

Last Wednesday, Brad Goodwin testified before the Virginia Senate Labor and Commerce Committee in support of a workers’ compensation bill that is designed to protect the rights of injured workers, SB 1351. SB 1351 is designed to ensure that certain rights belonging to an injured worker are not waived if not specifically addressed and detailed in a workers’ compensation agreement.

This important bill is necessary as often injuries progress beyond the initial accident and sometimes doctors need more time to address them. Remember that an injured worker typically has two years in Virginia to file a claim or seek coverage for additional body parts or conditions from the original injury.

Brad and all of us at ReidGoodwin are proud to fight for injured workers and their families every day. Let us know how we can fight for you.
