Staff Highlight: Meet Emily Sirney

As we start off a new year, we want to take a moment and highlight one of our rock stars, Emily Sirney.

A little bit about Emily…

Emily graduated from Randolph College (formerly Randolph Macon Women’s College) in 2015 with a double major in English Literature and Theater performance. Emily started with ReidGoodwin in June 2018 as an Intake Coordinator.

Q: What does a normal day at RG look like?

A: A normal day for me consists of making a lot of calls. Everyday brings something different and there is never a dull moment!

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at RG?

A: My favorite thing about my job is knowing I get to be a conduit for helping people get what they need. Sometimes people are pretty desperate for help because they’re being denied the care they need, and are in pain, and I get to be the one to tell them we can help with that. I am proud to be in a position to listen to those who need to be heard.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?

A: I have a nine year old cat named Cleo who rules my life. Besides that, I like cooking, writing, singing, playing guitar, and yoga. I’ve modeled in the past for the art department at VCU, prior to COVID-19. I like getting outside when weather permits as well.

Interesting Facts: I once worked on a research project in college where we staged an entire show in a hotel room. We put the sound/light person in the bathtub. That summer, there was big power outage in Lynchburg and the power went out during one of those shows and we had to finish in the dark.

Today, we thank Emily for all of the hard work, dedication, and compassion continually put forth for our clients and the team! We couldn’t do what we do every day without having staff members like you!
