The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that erratic driving resulted in a police chase down Patterson Avenue in Henrico yesterday afternoon.
The chase began when an officer stopped a westbound vehicle for running a red light at Patterson Avenue and North Parham Road. The driver stopped only momentarily before accelerating away from the scene of the stop.
Thankfully, no one was injured during the chase. While no charges have yet to be filed, the driver was taken to a hospital for blood-alcohol testing and a psychiatric evaluation.
