REIDGOODWIN GOES PINK

Every October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a worldwide campaign that increases awareness and prevention of a disease that kills nearly over 40,000 women every year in the United States. ReidGoodwin joined this cause by holding our annual office-wide breast cancer awareness fundraiser. For the month of October, RG asked its employees to “earn” their casual Friday attire by paying a minimum $1.00 donation. For every $1.00 donated, RG matched $5.00 (up to $20.00 per team member). At the end of the month, the annual Halloween costume contest was held which required RG to “pay to play.” This was applied to the breast cancer awareness fundraiser.  Sure enough, RG staff did not fail to impress us with their creativity and dedication to their costumes!

Due to the generous contributions of the staff, we are pleased to announce that we raised $503.75! We have decided support our local community by donating to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation and Camp Kesem- University of Richmond Chapter.

Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation is statewide group in Virginia devoted to the eradication of breast cancer through education and advocacy. They provide tens of thousands of Virginians with up-to date and accurate information on breast cancer early detection, diagnosis, treatment, research and legislation. To learn more, click here.

Camp Kesem is a national program, driven by passionate college student leaders that support children whose parent(s) is currently suffering from or have died of cancer. Camp Kesem provides these children a unique opportunity to build friendships by hosting a week-long summer camp free of charge. This past summer, the local chapter in University of Richmond raised enough funds to host 100 campers! To learn more, click here.

As active members of the community, ReidGoodwin is always excited to support local organizations!
